OKINAWA FES Milafete
OKINAWA FES Milafete returns to Yoyogi Park in Tokyo on May 8 and 9, 2027. This free outdoor festival celebrates Okinawan music, traditional performing arts, food, local products and culture. Under the theme REAL OKINAWA, visitors can experience different sides of Okinawa in the heart of Tokyo. The 2026 event at Yoyogi Park attracted approximately 300,000 visitors over two days.
Event Highlights
The 2027 edition introduces a refreshed event logo and key visual, with a new visual concept called Peeking Into Okinawa (沖縄をのぞく). Inspired by Okinawa’s landscapes and natural beauty, the design invites visitors to discover more of the islands beyond their familiar images.
The festival will feature live performances by artists connected to Okinawa, traditional entertainment, Okinawan food, local specialties and cultural experiences. Food, merchandise and activity booths are also planned. Specific performers and participating vendors will be announced separately.
